Every year, Callwey Verlag honours the best multi-storey residential buildings with its international ‘Residential Buildings of the Year’ competition.

We are delighted that two of our projects convinced the jury and were nominated in the categories of Participatory Planning and Neighbourhood Development.

The ‘HeimatMole’ in Hamburg's HafenCity is a joint building venture house at Baakenhafen and is characterised by versatile spaces for the community and a spacious green façade. Construction of 16 new residential units and "Switch Rooms", a home club and a communal roof terrace.

The jury was also impressed by the sustainable neighbourhood development in Grünwald. Here, a cooperative neighbourhood with 14 residential buildings has been developed around three green courtyards for the non-profit housing association Gemeinnützige Baugenossenschaft Grünwald: Greenery that creates neighbourhood.
