Perspectives. Creative concepts for the architecture of tomorrow.

Trying out more sustainability

Construction is responsible for around 40 percent of all greenhouse gas emissions. That is why, before every construction project, questions arise such as: Do we really have to tear everything down and build anew? Or is it better to examine the existing building, renovate it and adapt it to our changing needs? Every building requires such analyses and decisions, which have a direct impact on the environment.

The fascination of the vernacular

Instead of reflecting intensively on the roots of action, society is often tempted by the constant search for innovation, the unprecedented in form and materiality. zillerplus is different. We draw our inspiration from traditional agglomerations that have often evolved for pragmatic and functional reasons and have grown locally.

Form follows location

We are reinterpreting the dictum "form follows function" by including the location – because context is always part of the solution. The term position has multiple meanings: it refers both to the physical location of a place and to a point of view. Every project involves asking questions and searching for existing qualities and stories – those elements that make up the distinctiveness of a (residential) place. What impulses can these qualities and stories provide? Is there such a thing as love at second sight?
