The roof – which is accessible to all residents of the home block – is a versatile oasis. It is not only a terrace, but also a meeting place, a place to relax, a viewing platform and a garden all in one. Cosy lounge areas are located in the middle.
The edge of the roof is surrounded by an array of evergreen plantings. These create a frame for the space.

Ornamental beds and vegetable patches alternate

Three different types of flowerbeds ensure a varied appearance. A mixture of perennials such as lavender and spurge lend the flower beds blue and lemon-yellow flowers. Daylilies and girl's eyes bring yellow and orange accents to the other beds. Grasses are scattered throughout the beds, playing with the wind and providing a robust structure in winter.

The third bed is left to the residents themselves. Herbs, vegetables, berries and much more can be planted here. Irrigation can take place via underground drip hoses, while small water reservoirs under the plant substrates keep the moisture in the soil.
