The German contribution entitled STRESSTEST was presented in the German Pavilion on 9 May. We are delighted to be able to support the exhibition as friends and sponsors of the German Pavilion.

The curatorial team led by Nicola Borgmann, Elisabeth Endres, Gabriele G. Kiefer and Daniele Santucci makes the concrete threat to the urban climate physically and psychologically tangible in the exhibition. In the DE-STRESS area of the pavilion, projects on climate adaptation for a cooler future will be shown in cool retreats.

‘People who are not experts should realise how threatening the situation is,’ says Nicola Borgmann. What is needed now is a social rethink.

The 19th International Architecture Exhibition of the Venice Biennale will run until 23 November 2025. Curated by Carlo Ratti, architect and director of the Senseable City Lab at MIT, its main theme is ‘Intelligens. Natural. Artificial. Collective’.
