Between the lines – Building cities together with simplicity: The existing structure as the basis for a contemporary reinterpretation
We are pursuing a pragmatic approach here, combining simplicity with high quality and a logical arrangement of all urban planning functions: Simplicity meets beauty and joie de vivre!
As an urban planning principle, the focus is on the conscious development of the edges and a strengthening of the neighbourhood centre in line with the existing buildings.
The new structures are based on the existing building lines in order to preserve as many existing trees as possible, maintain existing path connections and build on existing infrastructure. The character of the neighbourhood is preserved but further developed.
The shorter buildings create greater permeability and accessibility to the neighbourhood's open spaces. Consistent clarification of the address makes it easier to find your way around the new neighbourhood and relieves the courtyards of continuous bicycle and pedestrian traffic.
On Fürstenrieder Allee, a polygonal point building complements the two existing point buildings to form a neighbourhood-spanning ensemble and creates an urban connection to the existing buildings. The ground floor of the high point is intended for commercial use and can be used to activate the small surrounding entrance area and the neighbourhood.
